Prayer of Consolation

Dear Jesus, we know that your Sacred Heart is sorrowful because so many people neither love you nor trust in you. Behold, Lord, here we are. Though weak and sinful, we love you and we trust in you. We intend that all our actions today will be for the purpose of consoling you.

Heavenly Father, in union with all the Masses being offered today, we give you praise and thanks for the many gifts you will send us, including the gift of our small sharing in the Cross. May this, our prayer, glorify you and console your Son. With the help of your grace, we resolve to remain all day in this prayerful spirit of praise and thanks and, further, to console Jesus by being merciful to our neighbor through our deeds, words, and prayers.

Mary, our Mother, today we renew our total consecration to you. We give you our whole being so you may lead us to console your Son with the perfect consolation you give to him.

From this day forward, dear Jesus, whenever we embrace you, may it be with the arms of Mary. Whenever we kiss you, may it be with the lips of Mary. Whenever we sing to you, praise you and thank you, may it be with the voice of Mary. Jesus, in short, every time weI love you, may it be with the Heart of Mary.

Mary, our Mother, come with your spouse the Holy Spirit. Make our sacrifice of praise, thanks, and mercy a most pleasing consolation to your Son. Behold, we present to you all we are and have. Take our offering so it may pass through your Immaculate Heart, to Jesus’ Sacred Heart, and on to the Father, for his greater glory.

Mother Mary please pray your FIAT and MAGNIFICAT into our hearts. Amen
